Position: Honey Kitchen Assistant Manager

Description: Our Hive is growing and we are hiring an Assistant Kitchen Manager to manage inbound materials and ingredients for processing, producing and filling honey and honey related products produced by The Great Lakes Bee Company.  This includes various types of honey jars, honey soap labels and packaging, other retail product labels and packaging.

Assistant Manager will oversee the filling staff to ensure products are being filled and packaged to keep stock levels and weekly orders. Ensure the facility is clean, maintained, organized and following food safe processes and procedures. This position also handles the procurement of packaging, labels, and supplies. Assistant Manager will oversee orders coming in, ensuring products are being produced to quality standards, and pulling orders for delivery. Production of some products will be handled by the Assistant Manager – such as candles, wood conditioners and other specialty products made on site.

There is also a creative aspect to this role in product development.  We are always looking for new ways to use honey, beeswax and other ingredients to create amazing and healthy products for our customers.

Must have previous food handling experience.

Hours: Flexible Hours. Minimum 25 hours per week.

Location: Fremont, MI

Start: Ideal start date is June 28
